Mercedes-Benz introduced the 190E Evolution as an answer to BMW's M3 Sport Evolution for the 1989 model year, and the Evolution II was produced in 1990 with more power and revised bodywork. Only 502 examples were built and each example features an aerodynamic package with more aggressive fender flares, a front splitter, a rear window spoiler and an adjustable rear wing. This example left the factory in the color Blue Black Metallic (199) and was repainted under the previous owner. The model-specific exterior includes a body-colored front air damper, side skirts, wheel arch flares and a trunk spoiler with integrated third brake light. Additional exterior details include integrated fog lights, an electric sliding roof, asymmetrical exterior mirrors and a single nodding windshield wiper.

The Evolution II's 17-inch alloy wheels wear 245/40 Michelin Pilot Sport tires that were fitted in August 2023. The Evolution II has a lower ride height, wider track and larger brakes than the standard 2.5-16. The Evo II is equipped with an adjustable self-levelling suspension. An adjustable self-levelling suspension was fitted from the factory and the brakes are operated by ventilated four-wheel disc brakes with ABS.

The sports seats are upholstered in black leather and have heating and electrically adjustable front seats. Features include a Becker Europa 2000 cassette stereo, rear-seat headrests and air conditioning. The gear shift knob shows the dogleg shift pattern and designates this example as #210 in the series. The leather-wrapped steering wheel features a 160-mph speedometer and a 7,600-rpm tachometer, as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level and fuel consumption. Auxiliary gauges on the center console display oil temperature and voltage. The six-digit odometer shows 187k kilometers.

Developed by Cosworth, the 2.5-litre M102 inline-four has a shorter stroke and larger bore than the standard 2.5-16 model. Evolution II examples are also equipped with the AMG PowerPack, which included a revised throttle body, air intake, camshafts, engine management programming and exhaust system. The factory power was 232 hp. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a Getrag five-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential.
